It´s been a while since I came back from Nepal, and I´ve used loads of time to think. As mentioned in the end of the last post, I have now 100% decided to go for Ama Dablam in November/December! This requires me to train like crazy, and also to learn and master ice/alpine climbing. So far we have not made any specific plans on when to train, where to train or when exactly we will go to Nepal... but it´s all coming soon.
After my Nepal trip I first took a few weeks off all training, then snow came in the nearby mountains and we headed for the slopes. It was amazing being able to ski again. I´ve been waiting for snow for a loooong time!
Now I am in Kuala Lumpur on a work trip. I´ll stay here until 13th February, so unfortunately no playing in the snow for a few weeks. While being here I´ve already participated in one running race; 12 km last Sunday. And will participate in another the 8th Feb. As you know I love having these races to look forward to, and to use as motivation for training even harder. This year I´ve decided to participate in as many races and competitions I can in order to be as fit as possible for Ama Dablam. These are on my plan so far:

- RHB 10km run, Kuala Lumpur, February
- Siddisløpet, 8,2km run, Stavanger, April
- Skarverennet, 38km cross-country skiing, Norway mountains - April
- Wings for Life World run, Stavanger - May. Here you run as far as you can before the catcher car gets you - join in a city near you!
- 7 nutsløpet, 14km trailrunning, Sandnes - May
- Nordsjørittet, 90km cycling race, Egersund to Sandnes - June
- Trolljegerprøven, 6,5km obstacle course, Sandnes - June
- Stavanger Marathon, 42km, Stavanger - August
- Viking Race, 10km obstacle course, Oslo - September
- Oslo Half Maraton, 21km, Oslo - September
I also hope to do a week of winter climbing before the ice melts, and also loads of rock climbing in the spring/summer/autumn.
Here in Kuala Lumpur I try to work out as much as I have time to do. I swim, run both indoors and outdoors, and try to do some crossfit exercises in the hotel gym. Hopefully when going home I´ll be more fit than when I left :)
So, since my last post, here are a few pictures of what I´ve been up to:
